“As a third year Automotive student with a technical automotive background, a full-time function as Technical Manager at TU/ecomotive is a dream come true. Since I was only a kid of about 10 years old I have been tinkering on mopeds and such in my spare time. Besides, I helped my father at our family car workshop. Here, I learned the ins and outs of mechanical work, the working of the dynamic systems, tinkering and all other relevant technical skills. This background made me really interested in becoming an engineer and to innovate in this technology, which made me enroll the Eindhoven University of Technology. I had the same motivation when joining TU/ecomotive, because it is a great place to develop your engineering skills while working on a really ambitious, innovative project.

It is an awesome experience to run the technical side of the team. With my past knowledge, the gained knowledge from classes and the lessons learned from every design that goes wrong during manufacturing and breaks the first time, I really feel like I am becoming a completer engineer. The Technical Manager function also allows me to develop myself on the management side. Talking to companies, delivering designs, working with team members, making team members work together are only a few aspects I really enjoy doing in the management role. As the project is quite extensive, it requires a lot of energy and time, but it is all worth it. It is great to be part of such a motivated and enthusiastic team. All team members are giving their best and are working really hard to achieve our goals, and I’m really proud to be part of that. I am really looking forward to having a road legal Lina driving around - the team really deserves that achievement."
